Welcome!  The story of Lily is meant to spread awareness of a serious global crime, to empower victims, and to seek justice for those who should be held accountable for their unlawful actions. 

About the Author

I have insomnia.  To help cope with my sleepless nights, I think about stories.  With countless stories filled from start to finish, this is the one I wanted to share first.  In 2017, my car was broken into.  My laptop, calculators, and notebooks were taken four days before my final exams.  With the looming thought of this act stopping me from graduating college, I fell apart.  When I needed to return to the scene of the crime for my next hockey game, I felt traumatized.  I felt vulnerable.  It made me question, “How on earth do victims of sexual assault ever return to public?”  At that moment, the story of Lily was born.  I wanted to create a story to help understand what victims go through.  To empower victims of sexual assault.  With the help of Sigrid Macdonald, I was able to deliver this story.  Lily is a superhero.  Her powers are understanding and utilizing the potential of what it is to be a woman.
